    POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Product Support Sales Specialist - METSO  is to call on users of METSO crushing/screening units (and competitive equipment)  and provide them with the best maintenance and repair options available Patten Industry's new METSO Crusher and Screening Division. Specifically promote territorial service objectives; assist users in achieving lower operating costs by recommending appropriate service product options. Additionally, this role will call on prospect customers for 'spares and wears' opportunities for METSO and non-METSO product


    Structure: The Product Support Sales Specialist - METSO will have a territory and customer base assigned by the Product Support Sales Manager. Accounts will have a call quota to meet each week and will be responsible for attending weekly staff meetings to report back on progress. Local travel required using a company car and fuel.   The perfect person for this job will be a “road warrior.” The Product Support Sales Specialist - METSO will work hand-in-hand with the METSO Sales Application Specialist to cultivate the fixed and mobile plant opportunity in the Patten Industry, Inc. sales territory.


    PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

    • Product Support Sales for Quarry supplies which includes belting, idlers, screen cloth, synthetic media, belts scrapers, manganese, wear parts, etc.

      • Perform plant studies of crushing, screening, conveying, washing equipment.
      • On-Site training with quarry supply offering to educate customers on proper installation and maintenance to optimize performance.
      • Conduct safety and maintenance training with customers and Patten shop personnel.
      • Prepare and present detailed Customer Support Agreements (CSA) for quarry supplies.
      • Assist with required inventory needs at each branch for customer agreements.
      • Increase Crushing and Screening equipment sales and rentals by maintaining current client relations and developing new client opportunities. Assist customers in becoming more profitable by providing the most productive solution to their crushing and screening needs, such as the best technical advice on screen cloth, belting, idlers, synthetic media, manganese, wear parts, etc.



    A two or four year undergraduate degree from an accredited college preferred. Previous experience in a service organization, power systems sales or related sales coordination role preferred. Computer proficiency in excel, access, Power Point and CRM software.
