    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The role of the Operations Leader is to provide operational support and job coordination for the development of Power Rental Department. As rental department grows the rental business will face different sets of challenges, which will require different types of support. This position acts as both a team member and a resource/information provider.  To be effective, the Operations Leader must establish an understanding of the objectives and accountabilities below.

    Responsibilities

    PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES (including, but not limited to):

    • Actively involved in rental department process and procedure development and implementation.
    • Works closely and assists Rental Service Supervisor, Invoice Specialist, and Outside Rental Reps.
    • Be actively involved in rental department process implementation with focus towards continuous improvement and monitor existing processes to ensure compliance.
    • Work closely with Rental Service Supervisor to ensure customer and job fulfillment.  Emphasis on process improvement through enhanced knowledge of iRental.
    • Ensure timely processing of contract documents including check in/ check out paperwork for timely billing.
    • Spot check yard and rental up line on a daily basis and relay information to Rental Reps when needed.
    • Work closely with and assist Rental Reps with all aspects of executing a successful rental experience.
    • Obtain 100% of operations objectives contributing to business plan net revenue goals.
    • Contribute to overall financial utilization per year as outlined through annual Smart Goals.
    • Maintain daily involvement with inside staff to include training on any operational issues. 
    • Enforce company safety program, and continue all departments current office safety procedures including weekly safety meetings.
    • Support “field management” strategy by providing Fleet Supervisor with information regarding all field failures.  Field Failure Report to be submitted a minimum of once a month.
    • 100% of suspected customer damage to be documented and communicated to customer or Rental Rep within 24 hours of discovery.
    • Assist Rental Reps by coordinating support responsibilities including freight coordination, technician assistance, fuel deliveries, and field deployment.
    • Coordinate with other dealers & specialty vendors on rental products ensuring on rent/ off rent dates, and managing “back to back” contracts.
    • Complete all training as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

    High School graduate and a minimum five years of Rental Equipment service on engine and electrical experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.  Previous experience in a fast paced multi-tasking environment is a must for this position.   

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    Three to five years of relevant experience in the EPG/Industrial/Marine or Rental Industry.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are required with proficiency in DBS, DSI, ACT, Sales Link, SIS, Power net and other business/Windows based software applications preferred.
